Meet in Bardonecchia (Italy) at 11:00 a.m. Reception at the Bardonecchia Olympic Village (address in the Practical Information section). Presentation of the programme and departure for Pian Del Colle, on the French-Italian border. At the start, we walk through larch trees and along the Vallée Étroite stream to reach the Terzo Alpini refuge. From the barns of the Vallée Étroite, we set off towards Mont Thabor and continue on to the old Blanchet mines. In this high mountain environment, we reach the Col du Vallon (2,645 m) before descending into the Clarée valley, where we spend the night. • Ascent : 850 m - Descent : 1050 m - 13 km (7 hours’ walking) • Meals included : breakfast at Terzo Alpini mountain hut. At the start of this third day, we wind our way through the hamlets of Névache (Ville Haute, Ville Basse, Roubion) before reaching the Col de l'Echelle pass through its larch forest. We then reach the border and cross it at Pian del Colle before returning to our starting point. • Ascent : 350 m - Descent : 450 m - 11.5 km (6 hours’ walking) • Meals included : breakfast at La Découverte.
