The Cerces massif and the Clarée valley offer an exceptional setting and panorama for a splendid snowshoe trek. Come and recharge your batteries in unspoilt nature through the valleys of Buffère, Chardonnet and Muandes. At the end of the day, the group of up to 8 participants is welcomed in comfortable mountain huts offering quality catering.

Meet in Névache at 1:30 pm. Reception in front of the Hautes Vallées tourist office at the entrance to the village of Névache. Parking nearby. Presentation of the programme and departure for the Buffère refuge. • Ascent : 450 m of positive elevation - Descent : 50 m - 5 km (3 hours’ walking) • Meals included : dinner at Buffère mountain hut • Night : Buffère mountain hut
The day begins with a progression between the mineral world of the Baudes ridges and the forest atmosphere of the larch trees of the Bois of Sully. We first reach the Chardonnet mountain hut, then join the Clarée valley by the Bois of Alberges, before climbing to the Ricou mountain hut. • Ascent : 600 m - Descent : 550 m - 9 km (6 hours’ walking) • Meals included : breakfast at Buffère mountain hut. Lunchtime picnic. Dinner at Ricou mountain hut. • Night : Ricou mountain hut
We are hiking in a high mountain environment with panoramic views of peaks reaching nearly 3,000 meters ! We make our way through this environment to reach lake Long. We finish the stage with a descent to the Drayères mountain hut. • Ascent : 450 m - Descent : 350 m - 7 km (5 hours’ walking) • Meals included : breakfast at Ricou mountain hut. Lunchtime picnic. This day takes us to the source of the river that gives its name to the valley : the Clarée. In the Cerces massif, we reach the Col of Rochilles (2,491 m), on the border with the Savoie department, with its splendid view of the Aiguilles d'Arves. We descend to the Drayères mountain hut and continue on to the Laval mountain hut. • Ascent : 350 m - Descent : 550 m - 11.5 km (7 hours’ walking) • Meals included : breakfast at Drayères mountain hut. During this stage, we reach the village of Névache, the end of the trek, following the Clarée river. • Ascent : 50 m - Descent : 450 m - 13 km (6 hours’ walking) • End of stay in Névache at 2.30pm. • Meals included : breakfast at Laval mountain hut. Lunchtime picnic.
